Seminar on feed formulation

All About Feed will organise a seminar with a focus on feed formulation creating the best quality feed, increasing efficiency and staying innovative. Speakers will delve deeper into new approaches and present them for feed processing and formulation professionals. The line-up includes:

• Dr Arno de Kreij, DuPont Animal Nutrition, speaking on calcium in animal nutrition;
• Presentation from A-Systems, Feed and Software Services, speaker to be announced;
• Johan den Hartog, GMP+, will address the relevance of feed safety culture to feed production.

The seminar will be moderated by Marieke Ploegmakers, editor of All About Feed. It will take place on March 24, from 2pm-2.50pm in the All About Feed Theatre on the exhibition floor at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Entrance is free – pre-register to reserve a seat and a free magazine.

Seminar on pig health

After a short break, readers from Pig Progress can learn the latest on pig health. Obviously one major issue is the threat of African Swine Fever in Asia and South East Asia. The question is how far has the virus marched on, which developments trigger a rapid spread and what can farms and farmers do to protect themselves. In addition, the seminar will delve into health and pig genetics. Speakers include:

• Vincent ter Beek, editor of Pig Progress, who will present an update on the current ASF situation in Asia.
• Dr Sakchai Topanurak, Chulalongkorn University and SiamPigs, who will dive into pig genetics.
