Pre-weaning mortality is a common problem for pig producers everywhere. One solution to minimise the risk of crushing is balanced flooring – a pneumatic flooring system which raises the sow from ground level when she stands to eat or drink. Pig Progress visited Detert Farm in Gronau, Germany to hear their experience on farm.
