Coming soon: Webinar about the prevention of ASF

In the absence of a commercially available vaccine against African Swine Fever, the best way to fight the virus is by keeping it out of the farm. A webinar, to be held on Wednesday April 6, will delve into the best ways to do so.

The webinar, to be held in cooperation with biosecurity company CID Lines, an Ecolab company, will start at 3pm CET. Corresponding times for other time zones are written at the bottom of this article.

Dr Klaus Depner, Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, Germany

The webinar will feature 2 speakers. Dr Klaus Depner will kick off the webinar. He is senior scientist at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut at Insel Riems in Germany, and is considered world wide as one of the leading experts at the field of African Swine Fever.

The main question he will be asking himself is how much knowledge is necessary about ASF to prevent, control and eradicate. He will give an overview of some essential features of African Swine Fever for control and eradication.
