DSM get EU approval for Ronozyme HiPhos

The high-performance phytase Ronozyme HiPhos from DSM Nutritional Products is now available in the European Union. Initially launched in Latin America last year, Ronozyme HiPhos promises unprecedented benefits for livestock farmers in Europe.

Ronozyme HiPhos is a powerful phytase in the global feed enzyme market, which the business research company Freedonia Group predicts will be worth US$520 million in 2013. When added to pig, it covers many of the needs previously covered by a wide range of individual feed phosphate additives.

Feed formulations using Ronozyme HiPhos release nearly twice the level of phosphorous from feed
materials as do current competitor phytase products. This noticeably cuts feed costs and the additional savings are up to 2€ per tonne feed compared to any other phytase product available on the market today. It also significantly reduces the environmental impact of livestock farming, as less phosphorus is excreted by livestock on a diet containing Ronozyme HiPhos.

Ronozyme HiPhos has been jointly created by the DSM Novozymes Alliance, which combines over 20 years of experience in the development of phytase and other enzymes for use in animal feed. The launch of Ronozyme HiPhos followed the successful joint development of the market-leading phytase Ronozyme NP.

Ronozyme  HiPhos comes in three forms. Ronozyme HiPhos (GT) is for pelleted feeds, and features what DSM describes as the most heat-stable phytase available on the market. Its flowability, mixability and freedom from dust are excellent.

In granulated form, Ronozyme HiPhos (GT) continues the DSM tradition of having the industry-leading thermo-stable, dust-free formulation with a particle size that ensures optimal distribution in premixes and feeds. Ronozyme HiPhos (M), meanwhile, is a more suitable product form for mash feed processing, whereas Ronozyme HiPhos (L) is a liquid form for any other feed applications.
