Bit by bit, more is being revealed what will be on the menu at next year’s edition of the International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS) Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The event was originally scheduled to take place mid-2020 but had to be postponed to 21-24 June, 2022, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The theme will be “New perspectives for the pig industry: biosecurity, productivity, and innovation.”
Sessions at the IPVS Congress will meet in 4 different rooms simultaneously. Topics of discussion will include health (bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases), antimicrobial use; nutrition; reproduction/genetics; welfare; immunology and vaccinology; food safety and clinical cases.
For the first time, the event also comes with a pre-congress, which is scheduled to take place on the morning and afternoon on June 21st. A detailed programme of the pre-congress has already been released; this programme includes 6 pillars.
